MICH:
Piet Parra, Sofie Winterson, Bastiaan Bosma, Rimer London en Mick Johan vormen samen studioproject MICH. Bij het uitkomen van hun debuutalbum communiceerden ze enkel nog met een smiley bursting with tears. Die dagen zijn voorbij. Tegenwoordig wordt er geen nee gezegd, maar een streep door ja getrokken. Hoe het ook zij, de formule blijft onveranderd. MICH maakt deprimerende liedjes met vrolijke gitaarmelodieën. Een warme zomer waarin alles sterft. Een gothic in het pretpark. The People Pleasures Ground:
is als een visioen naar eindeloze stranden met azuurblauwe golven; een soundtrack voor een trip naar een verloren paradijs. Met Jimmy de Kok aan het roer weet de band menig zaal en veld om te toveren tot Californische taferelen. Live wordt De Kok vergezeld door Malenzie Mac-Donald Jr., Gijs van der Heijden en Eno Aronds. Samen bedwelmen ze de luisteraar met een flinke dosis reverb-gitaren en dromerige zangpartijen. Een absolute must-see voor eenieder die de sixties surfcultuur omarmt.
